There is something special about Kathy Fitz – the way that she truly engages with each person, deeply listens, and makes you feel like you matter. I always love being in her presence and I walk away feeling grateful for our time together. But when I learned that Kathy had decided to donate a kidney to a total stranger just because it was something she could do . . . I was awed and wanted to know more.
I wish you…
During this season of Thanks giving, I want to express how grateful I am for YOU! For the past 11 years, I have been privileged to share with you what has influenced my life in ways that might bring comfort, peace, and inspiration.
These Precious Moments
With so much uncertainty these days, the time to connect or be with those we love is ever more precious. Despite being in the projected path of Hurricane Ian’s approaching winds, I decided to take the chance to fly out to be with my mom in New England to celebrate her 94th birthday.
The POWER of COMMUNITY!
“In community, we can do just about anything!” – Mary Boutieller
Don’t Spend Today Worrying About Tomorrow
Do you sometimes feel like you are on a Merry-Go-Round, going past the gold ring over and over, not realizing that it is already in your hand?
FRESH EYES on LIFE!
Don’t you love seeing babies of any species? They are so innocent, so inquisitive, so playful, so open to exploring, and totally excited at new discoveries. Why can’t we be more like that?
“Herein Lies the HOPE!”
We all have within us this potential strength, especially when we believe that we can help to change the world for the better. It may not seem like that sometimes, but the truth is that we can each do something, even a little something, to make a positive difference in someone else’s life.
“We Are One”
It is difficult to watch the news these days. Whose heart doesn’t ache as we witness what is happening to our fellow world citizens? In Ukraine, people just like us – who want to live healthy lives while raising their families, enjoying friends, being good citizens, working, and living in peace – find their very existence in jeopardy.
Love is Love
What if we could experience Valentine’s Day, not just as a romantic holiday, but as an occasion to celebrate love in our everyday lives? How can we ignite a spark of open-heartedness? We need more love in this world. Why not use this time as an opportunity to bring love and joy into our interactions with others, whether they are partners, friends, family, neighbors, co-workers, pets or total strangers.
The Gift of Grace
The beginning of each year is an opportunity to experience life anew, to open our hearts and minds to fresh ways of engaging and living in our world. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that 71% of people are feeling more HOPEFUL about 2022, according to the results of a survey revealed on CBS Sunday Morning, a favorite show of mine.
